Hello! My name is Lesley Wiseman and I would like to welcome you to the Square Art website. My aim is to bring you great art at affordable prices.

Meantime, Square Art is just me and Alisdair Wiseman - as you might have guessed, we are a husband and wife team. We both draw inspiration from sand, sea and wild places - but we end up with very different results.

I work from a mix of memory and imagination, capturing light and colour in both abstract and representational ways. I paint on silk which has a life of its own, is full of delightful surprises, and gives colours a vibrancy that other media just cannot match.

I offer original art, giclée reproductions and greetings cards. I am also delighted to do commissions: a picture to fit with a specific colour-way or interior design, or greetings cards for special occasions.

Alisdair has his own unique style, combining finely detailed line drawing with watercolour wash. He gets rather too attached to his original work and so currently only offers giclée reproductions. I am, however, working on him…

Websites are a wonderful thing. However, an image on a screen can never compete with the real thing. So, if you are interested in seeing our work in the flesh, so to speak, just get in touch and I'll let you know where your nearest gallery or exhibition is.
